Melissa and Ian were married at fortyfivedownstairs last Saturday. The boys play billiards downstairs at the Lindrum while the girls got ready upstairs. Everyone walked up to the gallery and thankfully the rain held off until we'd finished photographing outside. Last weekend was a busy one! On Friday Caroline and Nick were married in Sandringham late in the afternoon followed by a cocktail party at the Brighton Baths. A fantastic Melbourne summer day by the beach!

On Saturday I was back by the bay, in for Amy and Brendan's wedding in Middle Park and then on the Prince Deck in St Kilda with a quick stop at the St Kilda Botanical Gardens. Amy wore the most fabulous Izaro dress and the flowers at the Prince made a spectacular display.

And then on Sunday morning baby Sara (I photographed Ghada and Milad's wedding three years ago) was christened. Bless!

For a change of pace I spent a warm evening at the Melbourne Club photographing an 18th Birthday party...now I feel really old!

Heidi and Paul were married last weekend at the Melbourne Zoo. The gardens made the perfect backdrop for Heidi red dress and the animals all turned out to watch! Red was echoed in the Heidi's sister's flowers:

Heatwave in November

For Libby and Andrew's wedding last weekend it threatened to be 35C! Luckily it wasn't quite that hot thanks to some light clouds and the brisk sea breeze late in the afternoon.

Old Holdens...

...seem to be making a comeback as wedding cars! This time the Luisa and Fred's car was a prize-winning show car in beautiful condition.

There were more beautiful roses, a nuptial mass in St Fidelis in Moreland, a walk around Coburg Lake for photos and a reception at the Moonee Ponds Bowling Club. A real Melbourne wedding!

Dear Jane, A big thank you for the beautiful photos of our wedding! For a couple who is usually uncomfortable in front of the lens, you made us feel so relaxed and that definitely comes across in the images. The Monday before Cup Day

I've often photographed weddings on the Monday before Cup Day, a long considered (if not official) four day weekend in Victoria. Melanie and Scott were married at Poet's Lane in Sherbrooke on a beautiful warm spring afternoon. Melanie chose orange for her colour highlight for dramatic effect against the green backdrop of the Dandenongs.
